Acker Finley Funds
You can invest in Acker Finley Funds through Acker Finley Inc. ("Acker Finley") or through your broker or investment advisor, provided you meet the minimum investment requirements. Here is a breakdown of the fees associated with the funds.
The Management Expense Ratio (MER) represents the percentage of the fund’s assets that is used to pay fund expenses including portfolio management fees and operating expenses such as brokerage fees, taxes, marketing and administrative costs.
There are no front-end or deferred sales charges if you purchase units from Acker Finley. However, a third-party investment dealer may charge a fee when selling Acker Finley Funds. The front-end load charge is negotiated between you and your dealer, and may be up to 6% of the amount invested. Because Acker Finley Funds are considered to be long-term investments, you may also be charged a short-term trading fee if you redeem units within 90 days of buying them and have chosen the sales charge option at the time of purchase.
Acker Finley Inc.
We maintain extremely competitive rates for our wealth management services, which are available to clients with a minimum investment of $500,000:
Equities – The only fees that apply to Acker Finley Funds are the management expense ratios (MERs) as outlined above. Management fees for equities held outside of Acker Finley Funds are 1.5% for portfolios under $1,000,000, and 1.0% for portfolios over $1,000,000.
Fixed-Income – For portfolios under $1,000,000 in assets, we charge an annual management fee of 0.75% of the fixed-income portfolio. Above $1,000,000, the annual fee is 0.50% of the fixed-income portfolio.
Separate charges apply for special circumstances in your life (e.g., divorce, selling a family business, offshore tax advice) that may require our expertise.
